With over 10,000 members from 75 organisations and associations the BCCMA is the only official governing body for Chinese Martial Arts in the UK.
Set up in 1973, their aims are to promote the study and safe practice of Chinese Martial Arts, act as an advisory body to the media and the public and to support its members.

N.B – The BCCMA site displays a huge list of its member organisations and associations, which you may find useful if you need to look for a particular style or group near you in the future. It’s unfortunate that web links are not included on the list, but if you cut and paste the name of the group into a search engine, it should come up (provided they have a web site!) – I’ve tried a this with several and in the process found some nice sites!
