Hi! This is the front page of the Sound Therapy e-Source. It will give you an idea of its contents. To view the rest of the e-Source, please Register Here
An Introduction into Healing with Sound ‘Every illness is a musical problem. The healing, therefore is a musical resolution’ - Novalis
I remember reading somewhere, that writing about Sound and its effects, can be quite difficult as Sound is something you Experience - not read about!
And this has certainly been the case for me!
How do you describe how the playing of a Tibetan bowl has moved you, resonated through your body and left you feeling somehow ’lighter’ and clearer, and expect someone to understand?
The good news is however, that with many of the web sites featured in the Resource section of this e-Source, you will get to hear a little of what the people who heal with Sound are trying to convey. Once you’ve heard the penetrating tone of a Quartz Crystal or Tibetan Bowl, or been mesmerized and astounded by the incredible phenomena of Overtone singing (albeit on streaming audio through your computer!), you will begin to understand, at some level, what Sound Therapist Simon Heather, refers to as the ‘Healing Power of Sound’!
The information contained in this e-Source is separated into two parts - A Beginner’s Guide which gives you a basic insight into Sound Therapy, and the Resource Directory which is designed to take you on the next step, where you’ll meet experts in the Sound Therapy field. You’ll find plenty of information and research findings in the Good Info Sites section, and there’s a wide selection of Sound workshops to give an idea of what’s available if you decide you want to go onto ‘hands-on’ learning! If you need healing, you’ll find links to visit web sites displaying registered Sound Therapists and if you want to experiment yourself, there’s a good list of web sites, which supply some beautiful looking (and sounding!) Sound Therapy tools! And for those of you who just want to bask in the sunshine (or moonlight) whilst being ‘bathed in sound’, we’ve got details on that too, in the Retreats section!
So, lets get moving, and make sure you’ve got your speakers on!
