An Introduction into the world of
Flower Essences
‘The gift I bring is Peace’

Think for a minute, about the last time you went for a walk in the countryside, through woodland, perhaps even a special garden.
How did you feel?
Were your spirits lifted?
Did you experience calm and peace? Were you revived, energised and uplifted?
Maybe, it was all of these things!
Have you ever considered why that was?
What is it about being in nature, wandering through long grasses and wild flowers that gives us that feeling of serenity, and allows us to go back to our ‘normal’ way of life feeling refreshed and renewed?
What is it about wild flowers and the blossoms on the trees at certain times of the year that invoke different feelings and even certain memories? Could it be their colour? Is it their perfume? Or is there something deeper at work here? Are they touching us at a completely different level? Throughout these pages you will hopefully find the answers to these questions and find a ‘theory’ that sits well in your mind.
Before the age of cars and construction, we would have been closer to nature. We would have walked more. Smelled more. Stopped more. Enjoyed more. Seen more. Nowadays though, most of us can’t just get up and step outside into countryside to smell the flowers every time we get stressed or feel out of sorts.
But, we can take Flower Essences!
Essences bring the healing power of nature to us, facilitating that natural process which our modern-day life has made almost extinct - a natural healing process that we rarely participate in and to a certain extent can’t do, because modern day farming has destroyed our ability to do so, with sprays and land rights.
I keep being drawn back to cultures like the aborigines who travel across the countryside, hunting and gathering, as we once did, knowing which plants were good for particular conditions and situations, ingesting and infusing plants which they knew had a purpose.
Many of us have lost that ability to commune with nature, but some people haven’t. They are the ones who can communicate with the plants and see and understand them for their true value. They are the Essence makers of today. They can bring the fields to your home or your office to calm you, uplift you, and heal you through the power of Flower Essences.
