About Me - Who am I?
|

 i, my name is Theresa. I am the writer, designer and builder of The Sacred Site and the e-Sources! I did all this with no previous experience of writing or web design! I have, however, plenty of experience and knowledge of Alternative and Complementary practices and as I am so enthusiastic about how they have turned my life around, I learned how to build this web site so I could share with you what I’ve found off and on-line!

 didn’t really want to write this section ‘About Me,’ because I really do wonder ‘Who really wants to know who I am?’ However sometimes its good to know the person behind the web site has some life experiences in what they are preaching.

Why listen to me?
|
|
am not a medical practitioner; I have no medical training or medical background. I’ve spent the majority of my working life on farms! I don’t have any qualifications in the complementary medicine
|
|
|
field and I haven’t even done a Reiki 1 course (yet!), so why should you listen to me?
|
|

Because I’ve been where you are. I was looking. Looking for health, answers, and happiness.
Back in the early 1990’s, I had no energy and my diet consisted of baked potatoes because it was the only thing I could eat and not feel sick. Conventional medicine offered me no solutions and my (ex) husband kept telling me it was all in my head, and I was starting to believe him! I was at my wits end.
Fortunately, I met a wonderful woman, Sylvia (to whom this site is dedicated) who changed my life forever. Sylvia had been really poorly and was reduced to a wheelchair. She’d explored even more avenues than I had in a bid to ‘get well’ and had spent a small fortune in the process! Then one day she found a Homeopath. Sylvia is no longer in a wheelchair and is one, very vibrant lady!
I too went to see that homeopath with major resistance and scepticism from my family. She sorted me out (I’d picked up lots of bugs from the cows and sheep on the farm!) and in the process kindled an interest into what is labeled as ‘Alternative’ or Complementary Therapies. That ‘kindling’ fueled what has now been a 12-year curiosity, and a very steep learning process along the way.
‘Buying’ into ‘Alternative’ scene not only gave me back my health, it changed my life for the better. The endless questioning of “Who am I?, Why am I here? and What is this all for?” is now finding a little peace.
’d love to tell you that I have all the answers and that joining me on The Sacred Site, will give you all the answers - but I can’t! However, at least you’ll be getting more help on finding the beginning of your path than I ever did!
